Grower’s 1927 Cider

As committed fans of English cider, we’ve only just begun to explore the world of Canadian Cider. This British Columbia cider is passable on its own, but does not compare to some of the English classics. If you’re a fan of English dry cider (or even Irish cider like Magners) you will find Grower’s 1927 a tad on the sweet side. It has a very distinctive apple flavour, which is typical of Canadian ciders we’ve tried.

For English dry cider fans, this is at best, light summer fare. However, we are keen to try this cider as a base for a sangria we recently sampled in Montreal, or as a mix with Domaine de Canton (a delicious French ginger liquor).
